I grew up, dancing,in a small Dorset village. English country dance was simply what we did for fun. My Mother always had a passion for dancing and taught English and Scottish around the villages. In the summer, large numbers would gather, and we'd dance on the manicured lawns of various stately houses. Since living in Humboldt I've found an eager dance community and have led a Morris side, called English, Contra and European social dances for many years around the county and now also lead Irish set dancing weekly in my close community.
